Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch
The viticultural tradition of the Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch - Erben Thanisch estate can be traced back to 1636. It was named after the widow, Katharina Thanisch, who established the grand tradition and reputation of the property, which has been under female leadership ever since. Sofia Thanisch is the estate’s current director, who is one very classy lady and part owner of the world renowned “Doctor” vineyard that has the distinction of being valued as the highest unit price per acre of any agricultural land in Germany.
